
Certificate in English Language Teaching
Introduction
ACE is an English language teaching qualification in communicative language methods. ACE has been designed as an initial teaching certificate for non-native speakers of English. This award is suitable for:
- Existing English language teachers who need to upgrade their skills and qualifications
- Teachers who want to move into English language teaching
- Newcomers to the teaching profession who wish to gain an initial English Language teaching qualification

- Supervised Teaching Practice
ADMISSION CRITERIA
To apply for the course, all trainees are to meet the following admission criteria:
- 5 GCE “O” Levels with a credit in English with at least one year of teaching experience or equivalent qualification and experience
- If you do not fall within any of the above categories and think you are qualified for the course, please submit all your qualifications and a letter explaining why you should be considered. Your application will then be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
AWARD
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded with Access Certificate in English Language Teaching. The Certificate will be awarded by City and Guilds Pitman Qualifications (UK).
